Effective 29 July 2026 · Private alpha
Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to STNL HQ and hosted Sentinel sessions. By creating an account, connecting an integration or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Publisher and contact
STNL HQ is an independent service currently operated from France under the name “STNL HQ”. Questions about these Terms may be sent to drascaoo@gmail.com.
STNL HQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facepunch Studios, Valve Corporation, Discord Inc. or BattleMetrics. Rust, Steam, Discord and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
2. The service
Sentinel is a companion and automation service for the game Rust. Depending on the features enabled by the user, it may display Rust+ server information, maps, team information, events, vending information and smart-device status; send Discord or Rust team-chat notifications; operate authorized smart devices; maintain optional player watchlists; and provide farming, market or statistical tools.
The service is supplied as a private alpha. Features may be incomplete, modified, interrupted or withdrawn. No uptime, compatibility or response-time commitment is provided during the alpha.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms.
- You must provide accurate account information and protect your password, API keys, OAuth authorizations and pairing credentials.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for ensuring that members of your organization are authorized.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe an account or secret has been compromised.
4. Authorized integrations
You may connect only Discord servers, Rust+ pairings, Steam accounts, BattleMetrics credentials and Rust smart devices that you are authorized to use. Third-party services remain governed by their own terms, policies, availability and technical limitations.
Discord installation uses the official OAuth2 authorization flow. Sentinel never asks an end user to provide the central Discord bot token. Rust+ support relies on an unofficial community library and may be affected by changes to the Rust Companion protocol.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Sentinel to:
- cheat, bypass anti-cheat systems, exploit vulnerabilities or interfere with Rust, Steam, Discord, BattleMetrics or a server;
- access accounts, servers, devices, private channels or data without permission;
- harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against or publicly shame another person;
- conduct credential theft, token theft, malware distribution, denial-of-service attacks, spam or unlawful surveillance;
- scrape, resell or build unauthorized databases from the service or a third-party platform;
- present player-review indicators as proof of cheating or use them as the sole basis for punitive action;
- violate applicable law, Facepunch rules, a Rust server’s rules or the terms of an integrated provider.
6. User content and configuration
You retain responsibility for the names, commands, watchlists, coordinates, messages and other configuration you submit. You grant STNL HQ only the limited right to host and process this information as necessary to operate the features you request.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, unlawful content or credentials that the relevant form does not explicitly request.
7. Security and availability
STNL HQ uses technical safeguards including encrypted secret storage, isolated organization workspaces and restricted administrative access. No online system is completely secure. Users remain responsible for rotating exposed credentials and for maintaining appropriate permissions on connected services.
We may suspend a feature or account when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law or maintain the service.
8. Intellectual property
STNL HQ, Sentinel, their original interface, code, documentation and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service during the alpha.
Third-party software and assets remain subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party games, services or trademarks.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The alpha is provided “as is” and “as available”. Event detection, timers, player presence, map positions, prices, risk indicators and automation results may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. They must not be relied on for safety-critical, legal, employment or financial decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, STNL HQ is not liable for indirect loss, lost gameplay progress, missed events, third-party outages, server sanctions, unauthorized actions caused by credentials under the user’s control, or decisions made solely from an automated indicator. Mandatory consumer rights and liability that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account and hosted configuration at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, unlawful use or discontinuation of the alpha. Provisions intended to survive termination, including intellectual-property, liability and dispute provisions, continue to apply.
11. Changes and governing law
Material changes will be dated on this page and, where appropriate, notified in the service. Continued use after a notified effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes amicably. Competent courts are determined by mandatory applicable law.
